Rhodactis mushrooms aren't quite soft corals, nor are they anemones. Despite their soft bodies and lack of a skeleton, which might make them seem similar, they belong to a different group called Corallimorphs. Think of them as distant cousins to stony corals, sharing similar internal structures despite lacking the hard outer skeleton. This unique classification makes them fascinating inhabitants of the reef!
